A superb partnership bringing together two areas of expertise around a Reverso watch, from the luxury watchmaker Jaeger-LeCoultre. Beyond the exceptional finesse of its finishes, the particularity of this mythical watch lies in its case that pivots, revealing a blank surface... ready to be engraved!
The customer wanted the back of the case of her watch to be engraved with a personal theme: the lily of the valley. My know-how as an engraver was combined with the talent of Stéphane ALSAC, an animal painter and the author of the drawing. A long and meticulous work of engraving was engaged in order to reproduce this sketch to perfection, to the exact line.
The scene, full of grace and elegance, illustrates a sprig of lily of the valley decorated with bells. A bee in flight, is about to come to gather the bells of lily of the valley.
Please note some remarkable details: play of shadows and lights on the bells of lily of the valley, fineness of the details of the bee (hairs, eyes, antennas, legs, wings...).
